Andhra Pradesh is seeking to leverage emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technology, to give a new dimension to its tourism sector, Minister for Tourism and Cinematography Kandula Durgesh has said.
Speaking at the Spain Tourism Innovation Summit–2026 on Thursday, he highlighted the State’s tourism potential and its plans to adopt technology-driven solutions to promote destinations and improve the visitor experience. Later, he said that AP Tourism received appreciation at the global event for the manner in which the State’s tourism potential was presented.
On the third day of his visit, Mr. Durgesh participated in a series of programmes, including the Touristech Startup Fest, Tourism Startup Atlas, Technological Tours, Travel Agencies Summit, Argentina Destination Partner 2026, Tourism 4 Nature Awards, and the welcome party. He also took part in the Discover Seville with City Sightseeing programme.
