Andhra Pradesh special TET for in-service teachers from October 11, results on November 15
The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has announced a special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for in-service teachers, scheduled for October 2026. This move follows Supreme Court directives requiring all teachers appointed before 2011 to qualify in the TET.

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has issued a notification for conducting a special Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for in-service teachers in the State, in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court.
As per the notification, teachers who were appointed before 2011 and are currently working as teachers are required to qualify in the TET.
The special TET is being conducted for in-service teachers working in schools under various government managements, including government and local body schools, AP Residential Educational Institutions Society (APREIS), residential schools, welfare residential schools, AP Model Schools, private aided and other government schools.
AP Special TET convenor M. Venkata Krishna Reddy issued the notification on August 24, 2026, which, along with the information bulletin and syllabus, has been made available on the official School Education Department website .
