Andhra Pradesh govt. to address grievances of 35,544 AgriGold plot beneficiaries in first phase

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to address the grievances of 35,544 bona fide AgriGold plot beneficiaries in the first phase. These are the beneficiaries who have completed payment and registration of their plots, Civil Supplies Minister and member of the Cabinet Sub-committee on AgriGold, Nadendla Manohar, has said.

Addressing the media after a State-level committee meeting on the AgriGold issue at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Mr. Manohar said 42,531 plot beneficiaries have been identified, of whom 35,544 have completed payment and registration.

Another 6,989 beneficiaries, who have paid the full amount but are yet to complete the registration, would be considered in the second phase, the Minister said.

Arrangements are being made to remove the registered plots from the prohibited properties list under Section 22-A, wherever applicable, and address legal issues.

A video conference with District Collectors will be held shortly to take the process forward, he said.
