Andhra Pradesh govt. approves filling of 913 vacant ASHA posts
The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the recruitment of 913 vacant Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) posts, bringing the total filled over the past two years to 1,294, as part of its 'zero-vacancy policy.' Preference will be given to local women aged 25-45 who have passed Class 10, with each ASHA worker receiving a monthly remuneration of ₹10,000.

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the filling of 913 vacant posts of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs), Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare Satya Kumar Yadav said on Monday.
In a statement, Mr. Yadav said the recruitment was part of the government’s zero-vacancy policy.
As many as 1,294 ASHA posts had been filled over the past two years, he said. Of the 913 newly approved posts, 673 were in rural areas, 64 in tribal areas and 176 in urban areas.
Preference would be given to local women aged between 25 and 45 years who had passed Class 10, the Minister said.
