The Andhra Pradesh government has earmarked ₹51 crore for minor renovation and repair works in the Government General Hospitals (GGHs) and government medical and dental colleges across the State.
The allocation follows requests from the Superintendents and Principals of 13 GGHs and 13 medical and dental colleges seeking funds for infrastructure works. Based on the proposals prepared by the Director of Medical Education, the Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare has sanctioned ₹34.07 crore for GGHs and ₹16.92 crore for medical and dental colleges, according to a release issued on Monday.
