Andhra CM Naidu tells MLAs to stay close to people, address grievances fast

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asked the party MLAs and public representatives to adopt the best governance practices, stay connected with people and proactively resolve long-pending problems in their respective constituencies.
Addressing a leadership conclave on government and public services at the TDP office at Mangalagiri, Mr. Naidu said that some constituencies were delivering better citizen services and urged all 175 Assembly constituencies to emulate it.
The government was foregoing revenue of nearly ₹1,000 crore per annum by providing free sand to people, Mr. Naidu said and directed officials to prevent diversion of sand to other States. “The sand reaches should be monitored closely,” he said.
