The district police traced a missing minor girl within 10 hours of her disappearance from a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) hostel, using the advanced CCTV-360 surveillance system.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Narsipatnam Sub-Division, P. Srinivasa Rao said the girl had gone missing from the Makavarapalem police station limits on July 17. Following the registration of a case, Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha directed officials to launch a search operation and constituted four teams, including Narsipatnam Circle Inspector Revathamma and Makavarapalem Sub-Inspector Damodar Naidu.
