Amuthan murder: police arrest one more final year student
Police have arrested a 15th suspect in connection with the murder of engineering student K. Amuthan in Coimbatore. The investigation suggests the killing was the result of a group clash rather than drug-related activities.
The police investigating the August 10 murder of K. Amuthan (19) of Kallakurichi, a third-year student of a private engineering college at Othakalmandapam near Coimbatore, arrested a student of the same institution on Monday. The police said that R. Monishan (21), a final year student of the engineering college, was arrested for alleged involvement in the crime. With this, the number of persons held so far in the case increased to 15.
