Amit Shah to visit Puducherry on August 8

Preparations are on for the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Puducherry to participate in the presentation ceremony of the President of India’s Police Colour to the Puducherry Police on August 8.
As per information available with the territorial police, the Home Minister will reach Puducherry on August 8. He will participate in the ceremony to be held at the Police Training School ground at Gorimedu on the next day (August 9).
At the ceremony to be organised by the Puducherry Police, Mr. Shah will hand over a ceremonial flag to the force, symbolic of the conferment of the President’s Colour award. There will also be a parade by different wings of the territorial police, said an official.
