Amid CJP ‘inspections’, Rajasthan government admits 611 schools have no buildings
The Rajasthan government has confirmed that 611 schools in the state currently lack buildings, with some operating in unsafe conditions or shared spaces. The report follows an inspection by the Cockroach Janta Party, which highlighted severe infrastructure deficits including a lack of toilets and drinking water in thousands of schools.

A Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) team, led by its co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka, was attacked while it was on its way to inspect a government school in Bagru near Jaipur on Friday. One of the key reasons behind the team's visit was to look into the allegation that the school was being run out of a cowshed. Last year, the school building was declared as unsafe and closed down, with entry prohibited. The students were shifted nearby to a temporary enclosure which also allegedly houses buffaloes. The school, though, is not the only one in the state afflicted by such “structural” issues. Across Rajasthan, there are 611 schools which are building-less, as per the state government.
