The Inter-Regional Meeting of the Bishops of Southern Africa (IMBISA) has assured the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA) of its prayers and solidarity as the regional Catholic body elects new office-bearers and appoints new staff during its 21st Plenary Assembly.
In a goodwill message read during the plenary assembly in Nairobi, Kenya, on behalf of the IMBISA President, Archbishop Liborius Ndumbukuti Nashenda, the region prayed for divine wisdom to guide the election of new leaders who will steer AMECEA’s mission in the years ahead.
“May God give you wisdom as you elect new officer-bearers and appoint new staff members for AMECEA. We assure you of our prayers as they take up their task of building bridges of communion, hope, justice and good governance,” Fr. Enrico Parry said on behalf of the President.
