Amazon’s drones will soon deliver to nearly 500 US cities and towns
Amazon plans to expand its Prime Air drone delivery service to nearly 500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of the year, a sixfold increase from its current footprint. The service, which delivers packages under 5 pounds in about an hour, is also emphasizing its safety systems to address past concerns regarding drone accidents.

Prime Air deliveries will soon be launched in the Chicago, Illinois; Syracuse, New York; Cleveland, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia; and Boise, Idaho metro areas, according to Amazon’s announcement, with “more communities to come later this year.”
