Amazon introduces Kindle Click, a $35 remote for turning pages

Amazon has launched the Kindle Click, a $35 Bluetooth remote designed to allow users to turn pages on their e-readers without touching the screen. The accessory is part of a broader expansion of the Kindle ecosystem alongside new hardware releases.
Why it matters
The move signals Amazon's intent to capture the market for official accessories, competing directly with third-party manufacturers and other e-reader brands.
Alongside a redesigned Kindle lineup that features slimmer designs, zero bezels, and a lighter feel, Amazon announced a range of new accessories on Thursday. And one of them, a $34.99 remote called the Kindle Click, caught our eye.
The Kindle Click is a compact Bluetooth remote designed to let readers turn pages without touching their Kindle. The idea is simple, but it could solve a surprisingly common annoyance for e-reader owners who have to reach over and tap the screen every time they want to move to the next page.
The small remote is designed for situations where touching the Kindle isn’t convenient. Amazon specifically positions it for reading under the covers, on a treadmill, or with a Kindle resting on a tray table during a flight. Instead of reaching for the e-reader, readers can simply press a button on the remote to turn the page.
