BUTTERWORTH: Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) will focus on strengthening Pakatan Harapan while exploring broader political cooperation with like-minded parties that champion values-based politics following its disappointing showing in recent state elections.
Amanah vice-president Adly Zahary said the party's priority was not to seek more seats in future elections but to build a stronger coalition with parties that shared Pakatan’s principles.
"Seat allocations will be decided through discussions. It is not simply about increasing the number of seats contested by Amanah.
"We need to look at how we can further strengthen cooperation within Pakatan, as well as with those who are willing to work with us," he told reporters after the state Amanah Convention 2026 here on Sunday (Aug 2).
