The All-India Feminist Alliance (ALIFA) has written an open letter to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) seeking its “written and public condemnation” of Hindutva ideologue T.G. Mohandas’s controversial statements and immediate severance of all platforms and courtesy extended to him by Sangh Parivar organisations.
In its letter to RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, ALIFA also sought “pro-active support” from the RSS for the legal and criminal process against Mr. Mohandas, “instead of obstruction.”
“The Sarsanghchalak’s office must note that women, youth, citizens who protest against any government, of any party, are entitled to dignity, agency and constitutional rights; whatever their political ideology,” it said.
