Minister of State at the Department of Sport Charlie McConalogue briefed the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party on Wednesday evening after Government TDs, Senators and local politicians began posting that the grant scheme would open for registration on Monday.
One Fianna Fáil source said “all hell seems to have broken out” over the issue, which relates to the timing of the publication of news of the scheme.
