The All Blacks have pretty much got the band back together for their fourth-test clash with South Africa, recalling Richie Mo’unga to start and Beauden Barrett and Rieko Ioane to come off the bench.
With the odd exception and shuffling, this is virtually the backline that played in the 2023 World Cup final against South Africa.
Two figures – Aaron Smith and Mark Tele’a – are gone, but there is a fair chance that once the bench has emptied and Barrett and Ioane enter the fray at M&T Bank Stadium, the set-up will be almost identical to the final.
