Will Jordan has entered the history books by becoming the All Blacks’ all-time leading tryscorer and the first player to score 50 test tries for New Zealand.

Jordan reached the milestone against Italy in Wellington, when he crossed for his third try in the 54th minute to surpass the record previously held by Doug Howlett and become just the eighth player in international rugby history to reach the mark.

Howlett became the All Blacks’ record tryscorer on September 23, 2007, during a Rugby World Cup match against Scotland. With his 47th career try he overtook Christian Cullen’s previous record of 46 tries.

Jordan is now one of only eight players to have scored more than 50 test tries, although Georgia’s Akaki Tabutsadze currently leads the list among active players with 52.
