Winston Aldworth rates the best and worst All Blacks performers from their 43-28 defeat against the Springboks in Baltimore.
Slipped when he needed to put a tryline tackle on Damien de Allende in the 14th minute. The fact he was used (successfully) as a short-ball lineout option is a worry for the All Blacks’ set piece. De Groot was useful around the park, but got skinned by Kurt-Lee Arendse at the start of the second half.
Skipper was front and centre in the early physical clashes and scored the first try. Seemed to leak a medically measurable amount of blood from his forehead after knocking melons with Anton Lienert-Brown.
Taylor got pinged in a couple of early scrums for having his foot in the wrong place and there were lineout wobbles during his 48-minute stint.
