Alisson hails Jacquet and Araujo as Liverpool’s new defensive rocks after recent clean sheets

Alisson Becker has praised summer signings Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo for making Liverpool 'more solid defensively'.

Liverpool battled to a 1-0 win at Bournemouth in the Premier League at the weekend, ensuring the Reds head into the international break unbeaten.

Andoni Iraola 's side have recorded three consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League , and Alisson believes the new recruits have strengthened the side.

Jacquet picked up the man-of-the-match award at Bournemouth, as the 21-year-old continued an impressive adaptation to English football. Araujo has also impressed while deputising at right-back, following his season-long loan move from Barcelona .

Alisson praised the pair and said Liverpool are 'really happy' to have the summer recruits in a new-look backline.
