Alex de Minaur was beaten 6-4, 7-5, 6-2 by Dutch world number 70 Botic van de Zandschulp.
The victory was van de Zandschulp's first over de Minaur in five attempts.

De Minaur had never lost to the 30-year-old world number 70 in their previous four meetings, including earlier this year at the Rotterdam ATP event, which the 27-year-old Aussie won.
