Alcaraz's Europe regains the Laver Cup crown with three more points from Zverev

The 2026 Laver Cup is now history, with Europe’s victory over the Rest of the World this Sunday by 13 to 5. The Old Continent team followed the expected script to reclaim the crown they had lost a year ago in San Francisco. The victory was so overwhelming that Carlos Alcaraz and Rafa Jódar did not get to play their singles matches against Álex de Miñaur and Taylor Fritz. The home team scored the last 10 points of the competition. De Miñaur's victory over Zverev on Saturday left a partial score of 3-5. Andre Agassi's men did not win again. Jakub Mensik and Flavio Cobolli sped up the outcome by opening Sunday’s session with a comeback against Fritz and De Minaur. They succumbed 7-5 and 6-3. Sascha didn't falter afterward and asserted his authority against Learner Tien, 7-6(3) and 6-3.
