A 17-year-old from Lethbridge was arrested on Sept. 3 in the southern Alberta city and accused of committing crimes relating to terrorism, child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAEM), and animal cruelty.
RCMP allege the teen, whose gender was not disclosed, was involved in the 764 network: an online group that recruits children and youth via gaming platforms and social media networks and grooms them to commit heinous crimes.
The 764 network, which was listed as a terrorist entity in Canada in December 2025 , is described as a transnational online ecosystem of violent predators with a shared ideology, not an organized crime group with central leadership.
