Minister Ajay Singh was accorded a grand welcome by Congress workers and supporters on his first visit to Kalaburagi after assuming office as the Minister, with a colourful procession making its way through the city on Saturday (August 22).
The welcome procession began near Nagareshwar School in Nehru Gunj, where Mr. Singh was presented with an imposing floral garland fashioned in the colours of the national flag.
The procession proceeded through Super Market, Chowk Circle and Jagat Circle before culminating at Dr. S.M. Pandit Rangamandir. Congress flags fluttered along the route as supporters accompanied the Minister, while performances of Dollu Kunitha, Thamate and Banjo lent a festive air to the procession.
