CEBU CITY - Air quality across Metro Cebu worsened as the Air Quality Index (AQI) climbed to 215 on Wednesday afternoon, prompting several local governments to suspend face-to-face classes in public schools.The Environmental Management Bureau Central Visayas (EMB-7) on Wednesday recorded an AQI of 203 at 6 a.m., 208 at 11 a.m. and 215 at 3 p.m. at its monitoring station in Talisay City.The readings placed air quality at the "acutely unhealthy" level and prompted authorities to continue monitoring the haze and its possible health effects.EMB-7 said residents should reduce outdoor exertion at the current AQI level.
