CEBU CITY – Air quality in Metro Cebu deteriorated once again, prompting authorities to advise residents to take precautionary measures.
In an advisory released by the Environmental Management Bureau-Central Visayas (EMB-7) at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, air quality index in Metro Cebu was at 157 which was considered “very unhealthy.”
Individuals with respiratory problems were advised to wear masks when going outdoors.
“Sensitive groups are also advised to remain indoors and seek medical attention if an emergency may arise,” EMB-7 said.
