Air quality in central, western Singapore at unhealthy levels amid haze
Air quality in Singapore fluctuated between unhealthy and moderate levels on Sunday due to haze. Authorities confirmed that public events proceeded as planned after monitoring PM2.5 levels.

The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index readings for the central, eastern and western regions were in the unhealthy band at one stage on Sunday, with air quality later improving to the moderate range in all three areas.

SINGAPORE: Air quality in Singapore is now in the moderate range across all regions, after three regions were in the unhealthy band earlier on Sunday (Sep 20).
On Sunday morning, the eastern and western regions entered the unhealthy range, joining the central region, which had recorded unhealthy readings since a day earlier.
The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) hit 105 in the west and 102 in the east at 6am, while the central region hit 123.
