AIDYO wants Ballari public library kept open on holidays too
The All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO) has requested that the Ballari Public Central Library remain open on holidays to support students and job aspirants. They argue that current closures disrupt study schedules and force low-income youth to rely on expensive private alternatives.

The Ballari district committee of the All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO) and the Public Library Readers Forum have urged the authorities to keep the Ballari Public Central Library open on holidays too to help students and job aspirants prepare for competitive examinations.
In a memorandum submitted to the authorities, AIDYO district secretary Jagadeesh Nemakalu said that hundreds of people, including students and senior citizens, visit the library every day.
A large number of job aspirants also depend on the library for their studies, particularly at a time when recruitment to government posts has resumed following several youth movements and agitations, he said.
The organisation said that many job aspirants do not have a conducive atmosphere for studying at home and are, therefore, relying on public libraries.
