AIDS awareness rally flagged off in Kanniyakumari
Kanniyakumari District Collector M. Prathap inaugurated an HIV/AIDS awareness rally and an intensified information campaign to promote public health. The initiative encourages citizens to utilize local testing and counseling services while emphasizing the importance of ending social discrimination against those affected by the virus.

Kanniyakumari District Collector M. Prathap flagged off the intensified Information, Education and Communication campaign and HIV/AIDS awareness rally, organised by the Health and Family Welfare Department, here on Friday.
Speaking at the event Mr. Prathap said that the campaign aimed to create greater awareness among the public about HIV/AIDS and encourage people to undergo HIV testing.
He added that HIV/AIDS counselling and testing centres including, Integrated Counselling and Testing Centres (ICTC) were available at Kanniyakumari Government Medical College Hospital (KKGMCH) in Asaripallam, taluk headquarters hospitals, government hospitals, Primary Health Centres (PHC), private hospitals and mobile ICTCs.
