AIADMK calls for CBI probe into alleged horse-trading by TVK

The AIADMK on Friday called for a probe by the Central Bureau of Invesitgation (CBI) into alleged horse-trading by the ruling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
After presenting a petition to Director General of Police Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, the AIADMK’s Member of Parliament and secretary of the advocates’ wing I.S. Inbadurai, accompanied by the party’s agricultural wing secretary and whip in the Assembly ‘Agri’ S.S. Krishnamurthy, told reporters that if the present government was indeed a pure force, as the ruling party claimed itself to be, it should hand over the case to the CBI. Already, the police had been investigating another alleged case of horse trading in which a legislator of the TVK was offered ₹35 crore to vote against the ruling party in the House.
