AI-Hackathon programme at JNNCE in Shivamogga

Jawaharlal Nehru New College of Engineering in Shivamogga will host a national level AI-Hackathon programme, titled Yugma Techfest Medha Dristhti, on Friday and Saturday.
College principal Y. Vijaykumar, in a press conference in Shivamogga, on Wednesday, stated that a two-day, hackathon aimed at fostering innovation, research aptitude and problem-solving skills among students in the field of artificial intelligence will be held on the campus. The students from engineering colleges in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and other States would take part.
He said that the hackathon would feature two major challenges. The first, ‘AI for Medical Image Enhancement’, would require participants to use AI to analyse medical images such as X-rays, MRI scans and CT scans and develop innovative solutions for healthcare applications, including tumour detection, organ segmentation, identification of abnormalities and classification.
