Ahobilam temple photographer bags ‘Best Image of the Year’ award
Uppala Prasad, the official photographer for the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam, has been awarded the 'Best Image of the Year' by the Photography Academy of India. The award was presented at Acharya Nagarjuna University during an event themed around India's 80 years of democracy.

Official temple photographer (Asthana Photographer) Uppala Prasad of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Devasthanam in Ahobilam, Nandyal district, received the “Best Image of the Year Award” at the national photography competition.
The event was organised by the Photography Academy of India (PAI), in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission, on the theme “My India: 80 Years of Democracy and Freedom” to mark Independence Day (August 15). The award presentation ceremony took place at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur recently.
The event was attended by Vice-Chancellor in-charge of ANU Prof. K. Gangadhara Rao, former MLC Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad, and Principal, University College of Arts, Commerce & Law, and Director of Gandhian Studies Prof. M. Suresh Kumar.
