Agricultural activity in the Parvatipuram-Manyam district has improved following recent rainfall in catchment areas. Local officials are coordinating fertilizer distribution to support farmers as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Agriculture activity has improved significantly with the rivers receiving a decent amount of water, thanks to the recent rains in their catchment areas located at the Andhra Pradesh-Odisha border. With the impact of El Nino, many farmers stayed away from agriculture activity this year with the fear of non availability of water from irrigation canals.
Many rivers such as Nagavalli, Suvarnamukhi, Vegavathi and Gomukhi which pass through hilly and plain regions are being seen with decent amounts of rainfall in their catchment areas. According to officials, the agriculture activity will pick up further in the months of September and October as the irrigation department is all set to release water to the agriculture fields through canals.
