PETALING JAYA: Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar will appeal a ruling by the appellate court allowing Rosmah Mansor’s application to introduce fresh evidence in her solar hybrid project corruption case.
On Tuesday, the Court of Appeal unanimously allowed Rosmah’s application to adduce fresh evidence in her appeal against her conviction regarding the RM1.25 billion project.
The court ordered the additional evidence to be taken before a new High Court judge within two weeks of case management, which is set for Sept 10.
Rosmah sought leave to rely on a police report, a statutory declaration sworn by a prosecution witness who was supposedly pressured during the trial, and supporting documents.
Dusuki said the prosecution would appeal to the Federal Court to overturn the Sept 1 ruling.
