After visiting all 50 states, there are 5 small towns I can't stop thinking about

Abiquiu, New Mexico, is one of my favorite small towns in the US. Emily Hart After visiting all 50 states , I realized it was the small towns that really stuck out in my mind. I love returning to places like Kennebunkport, Maine, and Bayfield, Wisconsin. I can't get enough of the scenery in Abiquiu, New Mexico, and Homer, Alaska. I've been to all 50 states — most several times — and the places that stay with me aren't the big cities. Rather, they're the small towns I stumbled into on long road trips , the places locals insisted I "had to see," and the destinations I only meant to pass through but ended up daydreaming about long after I left. After years of crisscrossing the country, I've realized that much of America's real magic lives in its small towns. Here are five I can't stop thinking about.
