After the disaster in Nepal, Latvians are being sought: the Foreign Ministry's list already includes about 40 people
A glacier collapse in Nepal has caused severe flooding, resulting in at least 270 deaths and hundreds of missing persons. The Latvian Foreign Ministry is currently tracking approximately 40 citizens who may be in the affected region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia continues to receive new information about Latvian travelers who may be in Nepal and affected by the sudden floods.
So far, relatives of 25 Latvian citizens, who are presumed to be in Nepal, have contacted the Consular Department of the Ministry.
At the same time, the overall list, compiled based on information from various sources, has increased to approximately 40 people. The ministry emphasizes that this figure is still approximate.
The Nepal Tourism Board reported that as of Thursday, they have been unable to establish contact with more than 500 foreigners. Among those listed as missing are **six Latvian citizens**.
