TUTICORIN: A 24-year-old woman, who got married a month ago, died after falling off the hilltop of the Kalugumalai Ucchi Pillayar temple on Friday evening in the Tuticorin district.The deceased was identified as Anitha, 24, wife of Suresh, an abroad worker from South Thittangulam of Kovilpatti. The couple got married a month ago and went to offer prayers at the Ucchi Pillayar temple at Kalugumalai.Police sources said at around 5.30 pm in the evening, she reportedly fed the monkeys with bananas. Suddenly, after a group of monkeys surrounded her, in panic she started running and fell off at 120 feet from the hilltop and died on the spot.On information, fire and rescue services personnel reached the spot and rescued the body.
