After Jat belt, Nuh next in INLD’s bid to reclaim lost ground

After taking its battle for political relevance into former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s home turf – the Jat stronghold of Sonipat-Rohtak-Jhajjar -- last year with a ‘Samman Diwas’ rally, a resurgent Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) is now shifting its focus to another Congress fortress, the Muslim-dominated Nuh.

Led by national president Abhay Singh Chautala, the party has announced that the next edition of the annual event — to mark the birth anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhary Devi Lal — will be held in Nuh on September 27, two days later than the traditional September 25 date to avoid conflicting with Friday prayers.
