After 'big talk' with Xi on 'Super Intelligence', Trump shuts door on joint AI push

United States president Donald Trump ruled out join efforts with China to advance AI after the two met and held discussions earlier this week, as Xi Jinping visited Washington.While Trump said that both leaders agreed on renaming it to "Super intelligence", SI (a name Trump has pushed for recently), he dismissed the idea of integration. "We had a big talk on SI," Trump told reporters at the White House, using his preferred name of super intelligence."What they want to do is stop our progress because we're leading China by a lot, and we're going to keep it that way. We didn't spend that much time talking about it," he added.Defending his stance, the US president reiterated, "he did not want to "integrate" AI initiatives with China because of US dominance.
