After acquiring Niveus Solutions, NTT DATA expands operations in Silicon Beach
NTT DATA has expanded its operations in coastal Karnataka, known as 'Silicon Beach,' following its acquisition of Niveus Solutions. The company is integrating the local workforce into its global delivery model while diversifying its technology focus beyond Google Cloud.

After acquiring Udupi-based Niveus Solutions, a cloud engineering services company and a Google Cloud Platform Partner, in 2025, Japan-based NTT DATA has expanded its operations in Silicon Beach, a moniker used by coastal Karnataka’s industry leaders for the region.
Deepak Sathya, executive managing director (Cloud and Security – India head), NTT DATA, told The Hindu in Mangaluru: “About 1,000 team members of erstwhile Niveus Solutions are now part of the larger 40,000-strong workforce of NTT DATA in India. After the acquisition, Mangaluru-Udupi team members have not restricted themselves to the Google platform alone. We are working on other technologies and other platforms as well, such as Amazon and Microsoft. So that is one expansion path.”
Mr. Sathya said that following the acquisition, there are no boundaries between the Niveus team and the NTT DATA team. “Now it all depends on the talent that we are able to develop in Mangaluru.”
