African countries must stage the Commonwealth Games. Let's get Charles to chip in

While congratulating all who participated in the recent Commonwealth Games , I trust that the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) will give serious consideration to the future of the Games.
I heard the Chief Executive of Glasgow 2026 suggesting that this year's Games could be a template for future Games. I sincerely hope not. For financial reasons, this year's Games were much scaled down with the unfortunate exclusion of many events, including the Marathon, the most classic sports event of all-time.
I am pleased to note that, for the 2030 Games, India plans to have a full programme of events and I hope that will continue.
