Africa needs 700 data centres by 2035 to power digital trade under AfCFTA

The AfCFTA Secretariat reports that Africa requires over 700 data centres by 2035 to support its growing digital economy and cross-border trade. Currently, the continent has fewer than 230 facilities, leaving a significant infrastructure gap to be filled.
