AFL trade news: Could Jake Stringer have found a new home?

AFL veteran Jake Stringer is in talks to return to his former club, Essendon, following a stint with the Greater Western Sydney Giants. The move is being considered as Essendon looks to add veteran leadership to their forward line.
Why it matters
Player movement in professional sports leagues significantly impacts team strategy, roster composition, and club culture.
Veteran forward Jake Stringer is looking for a move to a fourth AFL club after finishing his two-season stint at Greater Western Sydney.
Now it appears his former side Essendon could be the answer.
The 32-year-old is fresh off a year in which he booted 48 goals for the Giants, his second-highest amount in a season.
Stringer told GWS at the conclusion of the season he was keen to return home to Melbourne for family reasons. However, up until recently no suitor had emerged for the forward.
Seven has reported that this has changed, with the Bombers in talks with Stringer over his potential return to Tullamarine.
