AFL confirms State of Origin future with Victoria to miss 2027 match
The AFL has confirmed the schedule for its State of Origin series through 2029, featuring matches between Western Australia, South Australia, and Victoria. The series continues following the successful return of the concept in 2026.

Western Australia will host South Australia in Perth next year under a three-year schedule to continue AFL State of Origin games.
South Australia will then host Victoria in 2028 at Adelaide Oval, before Victoria and Western Australia meet again in Perth the following year.
No other states have been marked to play in the Origin series, with the Allies concept — Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, and Northern Territory merged together — last used in 1998.
