Collector Anand Mohan inspected the functioning of industrial units in Gangaikondan SIPCOT complex and reviewed the development works on Saturday.
At present, 106 industrial units are being operated under various sectors in Gangaikondan SIPCOT. The SIPCOT plays a major role in industrial development of the district and has emerged as a major industrial hub for new industrial investment and employment generation.
The Collector visited several industrial units including TP Solar and food park established by the Agriculture Department of the State Government.
He interacted with workers and enquired about production activities, how they commuted to work, job role and other details including wages. He also enquired about productivity of the industries, workers’ welfare, expansion plans of the companies and infrastructure facilities required for industrial development.
