The 102nd birth anniversary of Immanuel Sekaran was celebrated today on behalf of the government at his memorial hall in Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram district.
Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises P. Mathan Raja and Mr. Prabhu paid floral tributes to the statue of Immanuel Sekaran at the event. Following that, they distributed welfare assistance worth ₹78.95 lakh to 76 beneficiaries on behalf of various departments.
Ramanathapuram Collector M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, MP Navas Kani, MLAs K.K. Kathiravan (Paramakudi), A. Kulanthai Rani (Sivaganga), D. Elangovano (Manamadurai), and public participated in this event.
Further, members of various political parties, leaders of community organisations, and people from various villages showered flowers and paid their respects to the statue of Immanuel Sekaran inside the memorial hall.
