Acer’s Smaller Intel-Based Gaming Handheld Has Sky-High Ambitions

Acer has introduced the Predator Atlas 7, a compact 7-inch Windows-based gaming handheld featuring Intel Arc graphics. The device aims to balance performance and portability with a dual-fan cooling system and high-quality hardware components.
Why it matters
The expansion of the gaming handheld market reflects a growing consumer demand for portable, high-performance PC gaming hardware.
As Atlas holds up the sky, so too does Acer have high hopes for its next handheld, the Acer Predator Atlas 7. It’s a more compact handheld that may still offer strong performance at its lower spec. We’re still waiting to see how much it costs.
The Acer Predator Atlas 7 is a little like the Predator Atlas 8 we saw back at Computex 2026, though the most obvious concession is that it trades the 8-inch display for a 7-inch, 1080p LCD display. The other major factor is that the smaller handheld can be equipped with an Intel Arc G3 or an Intel Arc G3 Extreme . The 8-inch Atlas was restricted to the Extreme version of the chip.
