Acer has unveiled the Project DualPlay Mini, an 8-inch Windows gaming handheld that features a unique flip-and-swivel display to reveal a physical keyboard. The device is currently a concept prototype with no confirmed release date or pricing.

Acer has shown Project DualPlay Mini at IFA 2026, an 8-inch Windows gaming handheld that can transform into a small laptop. The concept uses a flip-and-swivel display to expose a built-in physical keyboard underneath.
In handheld mode, Project DualPlay Mini uses a conventional controller layout with analog sticks, a D-pad, ABXY buttons and shoulder controls. Opening the device exposes a backlit keyboard. The display can then swivel into position above it, creating a miniature laptop layout.
Acer says the two input modes are intended for different types of PC games. The keyboard can be used for titles that depend on keyboard input, including first-person shooters, while the integrated controller provides the standard handheld configuration. The system can also connect to an external display for desktop use.
