The Belthangady Rural police have arrested Shabbir, 33, who is accused of robbing his 82-year-old grandmother Avamma’s ₹5 lakh gold bangles on August 14.
In the complaint to the Punjalkatte police, the victim’s daughter said a person wearing a face mask entered the victim’s house in Tenkakajekaru on August 14. The accused hit Avamma and forcefully took away a pair of gold bangles she was wearing.
