A man allegedly involved in a house break-in case escaped from a police escort near Pudukottai on Sunday afternoon. Police sources gave the name of the accused as I. Marimuthu alias Masanam, 21, of Madurai district.
He was allegedly involved in a house break-in case in Ganesh Nagar police station limits a few days ago. Based on CCTV footage, the police arrested Marimuthu. He was taken to the Pudukottai Government Medical College and Hospital by two constables on a two-wheeler for medical examination.
